Not widely known outside Finnland the ready-to-drink Finish lonkero or “Long Drink” is very popular and widely available in Finnish liquor stores. One will find it even in restaurants or saunas with only few drinks to choose from. The Finnish Long Drink was first produced by Hartwall for the 1952 Summer Olympics.
As creative director for McCabe Brands I managed the design process from comissioning illustration until completion together with strategy director Pearse McCabe. Illustration Tobias Hall.

Based on in-depth research in this category we identified consumers desired products which have a level of naturality, are of premium quality and are appropriate for lifestyle occasions.
With creation of a new brand of Long Drink we connected with these consumers injecting new excitment into the Lonkero category. Sales figures were beyond expectations.
