In her illustrations Jorinde Voigt has developed a multi-faceted vocabulary of lines, diagrams, signs and handwritten notes, with which abstract phenomenas such as space, time, earth rotation or speed are represented and with which she creates a parallel world with very own rules and realities. Her works display a divers materiality in which classic means of drawing such as pencil, graphite, ink or pastel crayon are paired with additional materials of bird feathers, copper or gold leaf.
